In the heart of Sindh, a new kind of energy is taking root, one that doesn’t come from electricity or textbooks alone, but from the bounce of a basketball and the laughter of children discovering teamwork.
AFHD, in collaboration with Shaantech KEPZ Karachi, has introduced basketball systems to rural schools and communities. At Chhor Boys High School in Umerkot District, students, teachers, and staff came together to build and launch a halfcourt that now serves as a hub of joy, discipline, and empowerment.
This initiative is more than just a game. It’s part of a broader vision of poverty alleviation and human development, bringing opportunities for growth to areas often overlooked. Team sports, after all, are as vital as formal education in shaping world-class citizens.

By planting basketball in Sindh’s villages and schools, AFHD is not just building courts—they are building futures.
